Is it possible to be further along

Usually when they measure the head they will be able to tell you how far along you are. Also many women know right away when they are pregnant and others don't feel a thing until the baby is moving! Congrats and good luck. Hope you are feeling better soon!. At my first doc. An symptoms can start like asap the pee thing i feel ya im 38 wks now an it only gets worse good luck. The doctors really do the best they can with the ultra sounds and also the info about your last period, but it is always possible that they can be a little off.

You could possibly be a few wks ahead or maybe a few wks behind, but it's just a good estimate that's it. I doubt they are too far off, but it's possible to be a few wks off depending on the size of your baby. My first son was estimated to be due on August 11th and they induced me on the 16th and yet my son was only 6. Sorry, this was alot to follow. Based on that fact alone, I would say you could be further along. In the beginning, babies all grow at the same rate. After 20 weeks or so, they can have more variation.

And remember-- any due date is just an estimate. LOL Has anyone mentioned the possibility of twins to you? Not to scare you some more, but that might explain the blood results There can be the NT scan at anytime between 12 weeks and 13weeks 6 days not all hospitals do this scan for every patient - mine doesn't do the scan unless you fall into the risk catagories.

After that the next scan is normally at about weeks. You could ask your GP for a referral for a dating scan to be done privately there are some places that will bulk bill but you may need to pay for this. As its done privately you can normally get in fairly quickly and that would give you a fairly good idea about how far along you actually are. What was your last af like? Lots of ladies on here talk about implantation bleeding when they fall pregnant never experienced it personally so I don't know much about it though.

I have also heard of people who have experienced bleeding like af while still being pregnant. I had af like bleeding for two weeks after finding out I was pregnant scared me silly until we found out the cause since I already knew I was pregnant. In my case the bleeding was caused by a haemotoma small collection of blood that had formed when Kermit implanted and I was just gradually losing that blood over time.

It wasn't a problem with the pregnancy and Kermit is going well. I think the best way and probably the way that will put your mind at ease is to ask your gp for a referal for a scan that way you'll know pretty definately how far along you really are. All the best with this pregnancy. You can use a calendar or period tracker app, such as Period Calendar, Flo and Clue, all of which are free on iPhone and Android.
